In the 1937, Henri takes on a new pen name, Paul Haggard. In 1938, Henri decides to reinvent himself in this bio in the August 1938 Esquire magazine declaring that Henri was the pen name. Later on Henri / Paul will take on Thomas Burton and David Ormsbee and will finally settle on Stephen Longstreet.

Today in 2004 it is his mystery novels as Paul Haggard that are some of the most collectible and sought after material in his long career.
