Jerry Wald, (1911-1962), American producer and screenwriter. Jerome Irving Wald produced 66 films. Some of the best known are "Mr. Hobbs takes a vacation", "Return to Peyton Place", "Peyton Place" and "The Long Hot Summer". He was also screenwriter for 41 films.
