STEPHEN LONGSTREET: The 1940s

Stephen's career takes off with a bang although he will toy with the names "Thomas Burton" and "David Ormsbee" authoring a few novels. He settles on "Stephen Longstreet". He writes 12 novels under this name including "The Sisters Like them Handsome" which became "High Button Shoes", the musical. Movies include, "The Gay Sisters". He will also write "Stallion Road" the book from which "Gig Young", the actor, will get his stage name. Stephen will write seven movies. The most notable being "The Jolson Story".
